Description
Chest of gold
Standard purchase includes multi purpose compost, however if you place an order and require alternative products in there please order and could write in the notes on order.
Chest of gold is a recycled, reusable transport solution to deliver loose products to our customers.
We would like to reduce the use of plastic, especially for bulk purchases. We know this is important for our customers too.
What are they made of?
Chest of Gold are recycled wooden boxes used to transport metal objects to a factory near to us. The chests have become available to us to resell.
This is great as we like to reuse and recycle where ever we can.
A Chest of gold measures 0.8m x 1.2m x 0.4m each (W x L x H), filled with Moorland Gold Compost providing approximately 600 litres when packed.
Options
The Chest of gold is Available as 2 chests stacked on top of each other or maximum 3 stacked on top.
We can fill the chest with moorland gold loose or in the plastic bags for easier moveability at your delivery address.
PLEASE BE AWARE
If purchasing two or three Chests they will have to be emptied before attempting to lift down from the stack.
Unless a fork lift is at hand.
Moorland Gold
loose compost will be the equivalent of 15 bags per Chest
12 filled and sealed bags will just fit in the Chest but this cannot be compressed as much as the loose load but can be emptied easier.
Delivery:
Orders of 1 chest are possible but the transport cost is the same as 2 or 3 chests strapped together.
Please get in touch for different variants.
Delivery is via a large truck with a tail lift.
Please be aware that the Chest of Gold can only be offloaded from the delivery truck and are not able to be moved around due to their size and weight. Adequate access and room to unload is required where the pallet can be left with no obstruction.
You will require a fork truck to move the pallet once offloaded or to empty the Chest in situ.
